Venus
Trilogy
Venus
in the evening
blue
The sea a
shadow of silver.
Red light blinks
on a buoy,
Trees black—
The light downstairs on his dresser.
2
Venus gone
the house
a shell,
Marks
where once
soft couches sat,
I drift within,
nerves, no
anchor,
Stand
where once
we stood.
3
Love comes
simply
out of night,
As if it’s
always
been there.
